Terms of service

Version 2026-10. These terms are between you and Yaad Box.

Your US address

Your address and mailbox number are for your personal or business shipments. Use the address exactly as shown. Packages without a readable mailbox number can be delayed while we identify the owner.

Items we can't ship

  • Firearms, ammunition, parts of firearms and explosives.
  • Illegal drugs, and prescription medicines without the required permits.
  • Flammable or hazardous materials, including aerosols and lithium batteries shipped on their own.
  • Cash, negotiable instruments, and items prohibited or restricted by Jamaican law unless you hold the required permit.

Prohibited items may be returned to the sender at your cost or surrendered to the authorities.

Charges and payment

You pay freight, fees and GCT shown on your invoice, plus any duties and taxes assessed by the Jamaica Customs Agency. Customs estimates are shown in good faith; JCA's assessment is final. Packages are released once their invoice is paid.

Storage and abandoned packages

Storage is free for 30 days after we tell you a package is ready, then J$75.00 per day. Packages not collected within 60 days of being ready are considered abandoned and may be disposed of after we have tried to contact you.

Declared value and liability

Declare the true value of your goods. Our liability for loss or damage while a package is in our care is limited to its declared value, up to US$100 per package unless you paid for high-value insurance. Report damage at the counter or within 48 hours of delivery.

Collection and delivery

We hand packages to you, or to a person you have authorised in your account, on presentation of your pickup pass or valid ID. For deliveries, the hand-off code we send you is proof that you received the package.
